There is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of "Heaven" ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them. All the spiritual imagery (harps, crowns, gold, etc) is, of course a merely symbolical attempt to express the inexpressible... Crowns are mentioned to suggest the fact that those who are united with God in eternity share His splendour and power and joy... People who take these symbols literally might as well think that when Christ told us to be like doves, He meant that we were to lay eggs.

Travelling from Esplanade to Chinatown/Bugis/Little India
fret not people! it is not Mission Impossible or Mission Super Troublesome... now that angie and i have discovered a treasure!
it's the City Buzz!! woohoo! for adult-students like us, transport fares are monstrous killers. they rip you apart by forcing you to look at how much they've deducted from your ez-link card after each bus trip. ouch ouch OUCH.
so this bus service is truly God-send. for $1, this bus takes you to chinatown/bugis/little india in a jiffy, without you having to walk pass the loooooooooonnnngggggggggg CityLink and changing to NEL/NSL after that.

NTU-the MIT of the East?
*pui. apparently NTU wants to model itself as the MIT of the East! what?! what!? noooooooooooo!! i veto it. i am going to be an Arts student in NTU and their focus is in science and tech. sigh.
hmm, then again, God may have a special plan for all these. i may end up having a good exposure to both science and the Arts.

hey, even the sons of Timor Leste's PM and Indonesian's President are recent graduates of NTU. when i graduate, i'll be in the same league as them. :)
