tiger woods' (he is THE golf legend but i think is slowly losing his golf prowess) wife just gave birth to their new baby son.
the baby's name is cub woods.
hahahahahaha! no la, his name is sam alexis woods.
seriously, did tiger's parents ever considered what sort of teasing they would put their grandchildren into? perhaps not.
people (like me) will call them cub woods once they know their father is *gasps* tiger woods.
stupid-er architecture today?
my mom was ooh-ing and aah-ing over the impossibly intricate details of german churches on tv when she suddenly turned around and told me.
"esther, today's architecture is far too simple and everything seems too easy"
her conclusion?
architects in the past are certainly better and smarter than today's architects, for their being able to come up with such extravagant and magnificent designs (even on the most minute part of the stonewall) while ensuring that the buildings last for centuries.
indeed, today's durians (think singapore's esplanade) and pyramids (think paris' lourve museum) look so silly compared to these grand and awe-spiring old architecture. forget the 'avant-garde', 'minimalist' tags attached to these modern monuments. these tags are merely masks to cover up for modern day's big lazy mistakes!
