my 20th was...
sweet - thank you all who remembered and sent me smses of blessings. for those who remembered throughout these years (you know who you are!), a bigger thank you! it also shows that we've aged! ha.

a quiet affair - spent it in school because i have a lecture. after school, met up with angie and we collected our new glasses from uncle david's. strolled in ikea alexandra for a while, fantasizing about our future kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. (i love ikea. their new catalogue is here! woohoo!) later in the evening, i had a good dinner (with injection of some riotous laughter) with sarah and angie.

dramatic - i lost my wallet! shuttled to and fro dhoby ghaut and chinatown just to look for my missing wallet. boohoo. called the atm people and informed the nel station managers about my wallet. just when i thought this was going to be my worst birthday, i got a call from my nainai at 8pm to say that someone has found it.
oh the joy of finding something that once was lost! praise the Lord!

here's something funny i spotted
was having dinner at ajisen with angie and sarah when i spotted their staff uniform.

it was really hard to take a photo of this guy because i had to pretend that i was taking a picture of sarah while she faked a pose.

notice the punchline?

well, you see, his uniform reads "ajisen noodle; staff; since 1968" and it seems like he IS A STAFF SINCE 1968! lol.

why he is a staff since 1968

theory one: the position of an ajisen staff is heriditary from their fathers and this honourable uniform was passed down to him from the previous generations.

theory two: he has to be at least 29 years old. judging from his looks, he doesn't look 29 so, this says that he must have been a staff there since he was a foetus! wow, ajisen guy, i heart you for your utmost loyalty.
