there's an overwhelming longing to be with my mom recently. perhaps it's how often i've been out and missed out on catching up with her. she didn't lament about me not spending time with her. instead, she silently kept the house neat, cooked when i requested her to despite her having to work. i can't help but love her more.

the following piece was written last night to commemorate my old skin that flaked off my shoulders and arms after a bad sunburn. thank you for being part of me.

my skin
my skin peels,
as it gently heals.
it looks ugly
but at least it makes my body real.

it's my mistake,
for goodness sake!
i didn't apply sunblock
thus i was baked.

creams and aloe vera gels-
they help heal my skin pretty well.
religiously i slather them
so that they will not peel like hell.

donuts craze
if you're crazy enough, you can take bus 170 from queens street or woodlands centre to head on down to larkin @ johor. they have dunkin' donuts there! remember to bring your passport!

munchy donuts are good enough for me. had them last night. their donuts definitely live up to the 4.5 (out of 5) stars which 8days once gave.
munchy's opening was the best thing that ever happened to causeway point!
