Chinese New Year is fast approaching. The only signs of festivity is the increasing amount of new year titbits around my house and the increasing roundness of my tummy as a result of consumption of these titbits. DIE. I eat so much every single day. Every day, I will munch on some bak gua or some almond biscuits, ginger snaps, or some peanut thingy while sitting down typing my graduation project interview transcripts and writing up the drafts... Man, at this rate, I think running 258359 rounds around the stadium will still not be able to save me. Honestly, I'm not keen about Chinese New Year. Because once it's over, it means I have only about a month to complete my 10,000-word thesis!!!! WHOA. This is reality. So tell me, what is fun about CNY, besides the ang baos, the feasts, the feelings of togetherness, and the endless rounds of exciting card games (no gambling involved)? TELL ME. What else is fun? Okay, maybe I just said all the fun things. Maybe it's just me. I'm just not that excited about CNY, like many others are because of my looming-like-a-huge-shadow Graduation Project. Talking about that.. another thing which I dread about CNY? I have no new clothes yet. For the sake of my own comfort, I will try and buy something new to wear tomorrow, lest I get asked "hey, didn't you wear this like 2-3 years ago?" Okay, to sum up, no matter what, I will make the best out of everything. Maybe I'm just too occupied with my academic stuff and other miscellaneous problems that I have failed to look up to the sky and breathe the fresh air. So there, I will make the best out of everything.. And the first step will be to get new clothes and my eyebrows trimmed. Hahaha! |
